  アーカイバルボード 

仕様に記載しています弱アルカリ性ボード（アーカイバルボード）とは、

資料や作品の保護に使われています国産の無酸性ダンボールです。

ph７.５～１０　弱アルカリ性により、紙の酸性化を中和し劣化を抑制する

効果があると言われています。

 archival board

The slightly alkaline board (archival board) listed in the specifications is a domestically produced acid-free cardboard used to protect materials and works.

It is said to have the effect of neutralizing the acidification of paper and suppressing its deterioration due to its slightly alkaline nature (pH 7.5-10).

  金具

koganeやsiroganeなどの細いフレームに使用しています金具は真鍮製です。

経年により色に深みを帯び、風合いがゆっくりと変化してゆきます。

真鍮留め金具：イタリア製

マイナス真鍮ネジ：ドイツ製

通常の作品には、ステンレス製を使用しています。  

Metal fittings

The metal fittings used for thin frames such as "kogane" and "sirogane" use brass flathead screws.

Brass clasp: Made in Italy

Flat head brass screw: Made in Germany

For other frames, stainless steel Phillips screws are used.

裏板 

 ＭＤＦボードは湿度に弱く、製造の際に接着剤が使われていますので、工房では表面をコーティングするために、ミルクカゼインを用いて作られているミルクペイントを塗って仕上げています。 

 枠縁の裏に紙を貼る作品には、裏板両面紙貼りで仕上げています。

 back board

 MDF is sensitive to humidity and adhesives are used during manufacturing, so in our workshop we use milk paint made from milk casein to coat the surface.

For works that require paper to be pasted on the back of the frame, we finish the work by pasting paper on both sides of the backing board.

アクリル

室内の紫外線を約９０％カットしてくれますので、作品の日焼けなどに

効果があり使用しています。

災害時などの落下やその他の破損の時、作品を守るためにガラスよりも割れ

にくいアクリルを採用しています。

It blocks about 90% of UV rays, so I use it to protect my works from sunburn.

 We use acrylic, which is less likely to break than glass, to protect the work from falling or other damage during construction accidents.

 洋金箔

洋金箔とは、銅と亜鉛の合金を地金とした真鍮箔です。

 本金箔は、金に銀・銅を僅かに加えた地金（２３Ｋ、１８Ｋなど）から作られており価格もかなり高価になります。

箔は、欧州・中国・日本などで生産されていますが、欧州の箔は厚みが日本箔より厚く、仕上げに瑪瑙石で磨くと感じ良い金属の風合いが生まれます。

工房では洋金箔三号を使用しており、作品によっては箔を２回置いて箔の質感にこだわった制作もしています。

銀箔は本銀箔（銀９９.９％）を使用しています。

Brass Leaf

Brass leaf is made of copper and zinc.

Gold leaf is made from base metal (23K, 18K, etc.), which is gold with a slight addition of silver or copper, and is quite expensive.

We use brass leaf in our workshop.

The silver leaf used is genuine silver leaf (99.9% silver).
